Game Design
1×2 Gaming’s Treasure of the Pyramids does not have the best Egyptian-themed game design in the slots world. In fact, the graphics and animations are rather disappointing. Except for the bonus round, that is! When you land 3 or more of the Scarab Beetles which set off the bonus round, the graphics and animations are really great. The artifacts that are revealed are created in 3D, and the way they crumble away in a shower of gems to reveal your prize is stunning. We just wonder why the developer did not design the rest of the game with equal care. While the colours are bright and vibrant, the artwork itself is a let-down. It doesn’t look attractive (except in the bonus round!). The sounds are in line with the Egyptian theme.
Overall, the game design is not as good as we hoped it would be, especially considering that 1×2 Gaming is the developer.
